Collaboration

We can amplify the unique gifts of each WIRUC congregation through collaboration—and be better together.

For our neighbourhoods and the world.

Community Gatherings

Community is formed and strengthened through shared meals and community gatherings. Look here to find out if another WIRUC community is holding a community gathering, and how you can participate.

Faith Formation and Discipleship

Discover opportunities for deepening your faith and growing in your understanding of Jesus’ Way—together with others from the WIRUC cluster.

  • Creation Meditations

This e-book, a creative collaboration by Elisabeth Jones, Darryl Macdonald and Martha Randy, can be downloaded for free as a PDF or on Apple Books.

From the authors: It's our hope and prayer that you will find moments in your summer to try this beautiful, healthy practice of paying prayerful attention to God’s goodness and love hidden in plain sight in the natural world that nurtures us, and that, in your astonishment, you will find joy and peace.

  • Celtic Meditations

    Centre - Celebrate - Connect
Rev. Darryl offers a Celtic meditation every Monday to Thursday at 9 AM on the Roxboro United Facebook page.

  • Merging Waters

Our continuing outreach committee, plus a few individuals, support "Suitcases for Africa" and the "Kenyan Scholarship Fund".

We have welcomed the support of West Island Cluster churches and ministers, such as ministers to make board and congregational meetings official.

In March of this year, we welcomed Lisa Byer-de Wever as our new pastor and are now in a period of getting to know each other.

  • Beaconsfield

The Beaconsfield Refugee Integration and Support Program helps to connect newly arrived refugees with resources, support, and community that will help them thrive.

The refugee integration and support program provides not only much needed material aid to help newly arrived refugees make a life here, but also helps them to find long-term networks and community.

  • Cedar Park

Cedar Park is committed to supporting food security in our neighbourhood. Our Comfort Food Freezer at the entrance to our building provides homemade meals to anyone who can use them, and receives meals from anyone who wishes to give them.

This summer, we’re partnering with the West Island Mission (WIMOI) to grow vegetables on the property around our building. We harvested our first batch of veggies in June and delivered them to WIMOI where they were distributed to hungry families through their “supermarket.”
