Summer 2023 Shared Worship
Once again this summer, worship will be hosted by a different WIRUC congregation each Sunday. This year, the summer theme is shaped by the UCC's New Strategic Plan.
From July 2 to September 3, the host congregations will reflect a part of the theme (depicted in the fish graphic) in the worship they plan for their Sunday.
Leading up to each Sunday, you can check back here to find all the information you’ll need to participate in worship, either online or onsite.
How to get to onsite worship
Click below for information about participating in onsite worship with this Sunday’s host community.

There is plenty of street parking and an adjacent parking lot.
-
Walk up the walkway from Lakeview Ave. The door to the sanctuary will be on your left. It is an automatic door that is wheelchair accessible and barrier-free.
-
Currently, mask wearing is strongly recommended and required while singing.
How to access online worship
Each Sunday throughout the summer, click on the button below to participate in online worship.
Click below for details about how to access the various broadcast platforms.
-
When worship is being livestreamed via YouTube, simply click on the red square with the white arrow at the centre of the window.
To participate in the live chat during the worship livestream, you need to be signed in to YouTube (your Google account) and also be a subscriber to that specific YouTube channel.
-
On Sunday morning at or just before 10, click on the worship image on this website.
The first post at the top of the page should be a video box and it will have a red badge in the corner that says “LIVE”.
If you log on before 10 and it hasn’t appeared yet, just wait. The video may look like it’s playing, but with no sound. Click on the video, and it should go to full screen and start playing the sound, with a box of comments on the right hand side. That’s all you need to do to watch the worship! You will also be able to view the video afterwards on that church’s Facebook page.
Troubleshooting:
If you can’t hear anything, look for a small speaker icon at the bottom right-hand corner and click it.
If a popup appears prompting you to log in/sign up for a Facebook account, click on the small “not now” at the bottom of the window to dismiss it.You do not need a Facebook account to watch the live video.
-
To access worship on Zoom, simply click on the worship image on this page and it will take you directly to Zoom the waiting room.
Troubleshooting
If you have difficulty connecting, try turning your device on and off, unplugging and replugging your camera/microphone.
